Bangalore's International School fees viral, 7.35 lakhs for first grade and 11 lakhs till 12th!
Trending News: The cost of education in India is steadily increasing. Especially the high fees of private and international schools in metros have increased the concern of parents. Meanwhile, the fee structure of an international school in Bangalore has gone viral on social media, which surprised people. Actually, this picture is from an IB -IB-affiliated school, showing that the annual tuition fee of students of class 1 for the academic year 2025–26 is Rs 7.35 lakh. Not only this, for class 11–12, this expenditure increases to Rs 11 lakh per year.
The most surprising thing is that it does not include uniforms, books, transports and extra activities (extra curricular) expenses. That is, if these facilities are added, then the parents will have to spend more than 8 lakh rupees annually on the education of a child.
According to the document, the school takes Rs 3,67,500 every half for the Primary Year Program (Class 1–5). That is, this amount becomes Rs 7,35,000 throughout the year. Apart from this, the school also charges a non-refundable admission fee of Rs 1 lakh and an application fee of Rs 1,000.
As soon as this post went viral, users reacted fiercely to this. Some described it as "the choice of those choosing allitors", while some said that private education has become a completely business in India.
One user wrote - "The fees of the American International School in Chennai are Rs 27 lakh. There are every level of schools in India, people choose according to their capacity, why complaint?"
The other commented-"This is not education, but a loot in uniform. Seven and a half lakh rupees for one year's fee and one lakh rupees admission charge from above! Parents are assured that they are buying brilliance for children, but actually they are buying stress and pretense."
Another response came - "Education and medical institutions of Bengaluru have become extremely greedy. Most of the politicians are with or under the control of the people associated with them. The question is whether the government will be able to show the courage to control the fees?"

A few weeks ago, another post went viral, claiming that a couple working in Google spends Rs 11.2 lakh annually on their child's education. His joint annual income is 60 lakh rupees, and the school fees have become his biggest concern.
In India, on the one hand education in government schools is very cheap or free, on the other hand the fees of international and private schools are skyrocketing. Common people believe that education is a fundamental right, but in the current situation it has become just a means of earning.
