Ahead of Assembly polls, PM Modi to address two rallies in Assam today (X @narendramodi)
Assam: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two public meetings in Assam today i.e., April 1. It is worthy to be mentioned here that the rally is part of the BJP's ongoing assembly election campaign.
As per the reports, PM Modi is scheduled to first address a rally at Gogamukh in Dhemaji and then later he will be proceeding to Biswanath district, where he is expected to speak at a public meeting at 1 pm today.
In the PM Modi's rally several prominent leaders including Senior BJP leaders and state ministers are expected to particiapte at both venues, as per the party sources.
At the first rally, the PM will campaign for state minister Ranoj Pegu and Naba Kumar Doley, who are contesting from Dhemaji and Dhakuakha assembly constituencies in Dhemaji district, asper PTI.
Later, PM Modi will campaign for party candidate and former minister Pallab Lochan Das at the second campaign rally at Behali, as per PTI.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that strict security measures has been taken for proper conduct of PM Modi's two rallies today. As per the reports, personnel from central forces and the state police have been deployed to manage the crowd and ensure smooth conduct of the events, an official told PTI.
PM Modi took to his X and posted, ''We are very proud of the efforts of each and every tea garden family. Their hardwork and perseverance have enhanced Assam’s pride. Here are some more glimpses from a tea garden in Dibrugarh.''

In another tweet, PM Modi posted, ''Tea is the soul of Assam! The tea from here has made its way across the world. This morning in Dibrugarh, I went to a tea garden and interacted with women working here. It was a very memorable experience.''
