The temple stands near the Shipra river. It lies inside the Valmiki Dham area. It is built within the trunk of a banyan tree. This makes it unusual. Inside are idols of Shiva and Parvati. There are idols of Ganesh and Kartikeya too. The place feels peaceful and ancient.
Special prayer happens on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It is called Peeli Puja. Devotees bring yellow offerings. They use chana dal, turmeric and jaggery. These are tied in yellow cloth. They place it before Lord Shiva. Priests say this ritual brings blessings. Many claim it brings debt relief.
