Auto News: Honda has launched a new, impressive bike in the international market. The company has launched the 2026 model of the Rebel 500 cruiser. It now features new color options to give the bike a refreshed look. This update is currently limited to the global lineup, but it is expected to launch in India soon.

The 2026 model remains mechanically unchanged. It features the same engine, power figures, hardware, and technology features as the previous model. The base Honda Rebel 500 will now be available in two new colors: Pearl Black and Pearl Smoky Gray. The top-spec Rebel 500 SE will also feature a new Pearl Blue shade. However, buyers won't be able to purchase it immediately. The bike will only be available in January 2026.

How much does a bike cost in India?

The Honda Rebel 500 starts at $6,799 (approximately ₹5.98 lakh), while the SE variant is priced at $6,999 (approximately ₹6.15 lakh). The Rebel 500 is currently priced in India at ₹5.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes via the CBU route. The bike is sold exclusively through Honda's BigWing Topline showrooms, located in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

The engine is more powerful than the Bullet

The Rebel 500 is powered by a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This 8-valve DOHC engine produces 45.5 bhp (8500 rpm) and 43.3 Nm (6000 rpm) of torque. Its rival, the Royal Enfield Bullet, only has a 350 cc engine. It's specifically tuned for low- and mid-range power delivery, ensuring good performance in both the city and on the highway.

Powerful performance bike

The bike features a tubular steel frame with telescopic forks at the front and dual Showa shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by a 296 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. Honda has entered the premium mid-capacity cruiser segment in India with the Rebel 500, aiming to attract riders who want a comfortable, city-friendly motorcycle that also offers strong highway performance.
