New Delhi: Customers planning to buy Maruti Suzuki's electric SUV eVitara may now have to spend a little more. The company has increased the prices of some variants of its electric model. Although no official announcement has been made by Maruti yet, according to auto sector reports, the prices of some variants have been increased by Rs 20 thousand to Rs 30 thousand. The matter of relief is that there is no change in the price of entry-level models, while the increase in prices of mid and top variants will put additional burden on new customers.

Which variants were affected the most?

According to the information, the price of the entry-level model of eVitara has been kept the same as before. The price of the Zeta variant coming after this has been increased the most. According to reports, the price of different options of this variant has been increased by about Rs 30 thousand. It is believed that the company has taken this step in view of the rising costs and market conditions.

How much will those buying the top model have to spend?

The prices of Maruti eVitara's top variants Alpha and Alpha Dual-Tone have also been revised. The ex-showroom price of both these variants has increased by about Rs 20 thousand. However, the company has not made any changes in the features and battery options. In such a situation, customers will get the same facilities, but now they will have to pay a little more.

How powerful is eVitara in terms of features?

Maruti has equipped this electric SUV with modern features. It has features like panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, LED headlamps, LED taillights, ambient lighting and dual-tone interior. Apart from this, many smart features have also been included to improve connected car technology and digital driving experiences.

What is special on the security front?

In view of the increasing competition in the EV market, Maruti has also paid special attention to safety. The eVitara has advanced safety technology like seven airbags, 360 degree camera, electronic parking brake, auto hold function and level-2 ADAS. These features not only make driving safer but also make long journeys more comfortable.

How strong is it in terms of battery and range?

The company makes this electric SUV available with two battery options. It includes battery packs with 49 kWh and 61 kWh capacity. The variant with the larger battery pack is claimed to have a range of more than 543 kilometers on a single charge. The electric motor produces a maximum power of 128 kW and torque of 193 Newton meters, giving better performance to the vehicle.

How much is the price now?

Even after the price revision, the eVitara remains a strong option in the Indian electric SUV market. The ex-showroom price of its base variant starts from around Rs 16 lakh, while the price of the top model goes up to Rs 20.21 lakh. Once the new prices come into effect, customers will need to factor in additional costs at the time of booking and delivery.
