New Delhi: Buying an electric scooter is no longer necessary. Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched a rental and subscription service for its new electric scooter, the Suzuki E-Access. The company has partnered with Bengaluru-based Royal Brothers Bike Rentals, a renowned rental company. This means you can now ride this scooter without purchasing, renting, or subscribing. Let's explore the details in detail.

In which cities will this be available?

In the first phase, this service has been launched in seven cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, and Gurugram. Royal Brothers already has a strong network in these cities, which is why the service is expected to be smooth.

What options will be available?

Companies are offering customers flexible options. These include 24-hour rental plans, monthly subscriptions, and long-term subscription plans of up to one year. This could be beneficial for those who want to try an electric scooter for the first time or want to use it for a long period without purchasing one.

Suzuki E-Access Specifications

It has a top speed of 71 km/h. Its range is 95 km (company claimed). This EV takes just over 4 hours to fully charge. It is priced at ₹1.88 lakh (ex-showroom). This scooter is considered a bit expensive considering its specifications appear simple on paper.

What's next?

Suzuki plans to introduce rental and subscription models for its other two-wheelers after the E-Access. In today's era, where people are prioritizing usage over ownership, this move could prove to be a major game changer for the company. If you're interested in purchasing an electric scooter but are hesitant to spend ₹1.88 lakh, this rental/subscription model could be a good option for you.
