New Delhi: TVS Apache series has delivered record-breaking sales this year, emerging as a youth favorite in the 150–200cc segment and directly challenging Bajaj Pulsar’s long-held dominance in India’s motorcycle market
TVS Apache has become a strong emotional and practical choice for young riders. Its sporty design and reliable performance attract first-time buyers. Over the past eight months, more than 5.50 lakh Apache bikes have been sold. This shows massive acceptance among youth. The bike balances power and affordability well. Riders appreciate its racing DNA. The brand image continues to grow stronger across cities and small towns.
FY2026 has been a strong year for TVS Motor Company so far. Between April and November, the company sold 27.9 lakh two-wheelers. This includes scooters, motorcycles, and mopeds. Sales are up by 15 percent compared to last year. Motorcycle sales alone touched 9,69,092 units. That marks an 11 percent annual growth. Apache demand played a major role in this rise.
The Apache RTR range dominates the brand’s success. It includes RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, and RTR 200. These models target the core 150–200cc segment. From April to November 2025, sales reached 3,82,431 units. This reflects a strong 24 percent yearly growth. Their balance of performance and price works well. The lineup offers options for different rider needs.
TVS Apache was first launched in 2005. Over twenty years, it has built a loyal customer base. Models like RTR 310 and RR 310 expanded the premium appeal. Recently, RTX 300 adventure bike joined the lineup. In December 2025, Apache is set to cross four lakh wholesale sales again. This milestone has been achieved only twice earlier. The brand’s journey shows consistent trust.
The 150–200cc segment remains highly competitive. Seven major companies fight for market share here. In FY2025, total sales fell by 9 percent to 10.9 lakh units. However, FY2026 shows recovery. In just eight months, 9,86,629 units have been sold. This marks 23 percent growth year-on-year. TVS, Bajaj, Honda, and Hero all contributed strongly.
Apache bikes remain competitively priced. RTR 160 2V starts at आरएस 1,01,890. RTR 180 costs आरएस 1,25,590. The top-end RTR 200 4V is priced at आरएस 1,41,990. This pricing suits young buyers well. Apache bikes are also popular overseas. Exports reached 97,767 units in eight months. This is a 32 percent annual increase.
The outlook for FY2026 remains positive. According to FADA, 74 percent of dealers expect growth. Rural demand is improving steadily. Factors include GST 2.0 relief, company offers, dealer discounts, and the wedding season. Two-wheeler demand is likely to stay strong. TVS Motor is well-prepared to meet this demand. Apache’s momentum positions TVS as a segment leader.
