New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked filmmakers to change parts of the upcoming film 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' just days before its scheduled Christmas release. The romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday will now reach audiences with a few key edits.

What Exactly Did the CBFC Change?

The board reviewed the movie earlier this month and gave it a U/A (16+) certificate after requesting several edits. One of the main changes involves trimming a sexually suggestive scene by about 15 seconds. The CBFC also asked the team to mute or remove certain words from dialogues and subtitles that were considered obscene or too bold for a wider audience.

These tweaks come amid rising expectations for the Christmas release. Fans have been buzzing about the movie since the trailer dropped, showing strong chemistry between the lead pair.

Why Does This Matter?

Cutting scenes and swapping dialogue could affect how some moments in the film are received by audiences. While edits aren’t unusual, they sometimes spark debate online about creative freedom versus certification norms. For this movie, supporters say the moves make it more family-friendly, while some viewers worry key emotional beats might lose impact.

What Fans Can Expect?

Once the changes are in place, 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' will have a runtime of about 145 minutes, which is around 2 hours and 25 minutes, on screen. The story is directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Dharma Productions in collaboration with Namah Pictures with Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and Bhumika Tewari as producers.

The film’s trailer and music have already generated interest online, and fans are gearing up for the release on December 25. A buzz has also grown around other news related to the film, including a viral childhood video of Ananya Panday and playful moments from the trailer launch event.
