Entertainment News: Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited directorial venture, Emergency, which is hitting the theaters soon, is a dramatization of the dramatic period of Indira Gandhi's Emergency rule in 1975. Amid the controversies and delays, Kangana has sent a personal invite to Priyanka Gandhi, Congress MP, to watch the film.

Kangana Shares Her Experience with Priyanka Gandhi

Kangana said that she had first seen Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament, and they had complimented each other. "Priyanka was appreciating my work and my hair, and I took the chance to invite her to watch Emergency," Kangana said. Priyanka said yes; she was interested.

Kangana's political views and previous criticism

He, the actor-turned-director, who had joined the BJP in the year 2021, also condemned Congress and the very fact of dynastic politics. Kangana in the year 2022 compared Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi as "nepo kids" while Congress as a party, which runs on nepotism. Kangana hates Congress for her own fight against nepotism in Bollywood.

An Open Challenge to the Gandhi Family

Though Kangana criticizes, she feels that if the Gandhi family understood what the Emergency really was, they could respect the film. "If they accept the truth of what happened, they might see value in the film," she said. Kangana has given birth to a layered portrayal of Indira Gandhi when India witnessed perhaps one of its most contentious episodes in political history.
