New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has recently alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party plans to rig its next Assembly Elections by assigning the task of preparing forged votes to seven BJP MPs. Kejriwal made this statement in one of his messages posted on his social media website.

Kejriwal Attacks BJP

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of trying to rig the Delhi assembly elections. Kejriwal said that the BJP has set targets for seven of its MPs to collect fake votes in the New Delhi Legislative Assembly, part of a broader plot to swing the election in their favor.

Seeking Electoral Transparency

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is scheduled to meet with the Chief Election Commissioner over concerns of electoral roll manipulation. In his post, Kejriwal sought vigilance in the next few days to trace possible attempts at making fake votes.

Election Commission to gives EVM security

Kejriwal continued his defense of the credibility of the election process, stating that EVMs cannot be tampered with. He also dismissed all forms of EVM rigging, saying that the Supreme Court and the High Courts had all along vindicated the credibility of the EVMs. Kejriwal was cautious not to retreat to paper ballots, which he termed as a retrograde step, archaic.

Kejriwal has urged people to maintain a close eye on the list of voters and the process of elections in the coming days. He had said that there is an acute need for transparency after all, BJP's previous claims of being involved in the erasure of the names of a few voters in the New Delhi constituency.
