Trisha Krishnan dating Vijay Thalapathy? Old post Resurface after Sangeetha files for divorce (Instagram)
Mumbai: Once again actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Vijay Thalapathy is in news but this time for his personal issues. Recently his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam had filed a petition for divorce, seeking to end their 27 years of marriage due to infidelity.
Even though no names has been revealed yet. But ever since the news emerged, social media has started linking Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay with actress Trisha Krishnan.
Recently a viral post resurfaced in social media that tweet claim was shared by Trisha Krishnan during Vijay and Sangeetha's wedding anniversary.
In the picture, actress can be seen holding a glass of drink with the message, "I'm possessive. I won't share you with anyone else. You are mine," followed by heart emojis.
Trisha has shared many pictures on her Instagram with Vijay.
Last year, Trisha wished Vijay on his birthday by sharing a photo on Instagram with the caption, "Happy Birthday bestest."
On Vijay's 2024 birthday, Trisha shared a picture with him and wrote, "The calm to a storm, the storm to a calm! To many more milestones ahead."
On October 2023, Trisha shared BTS pictures from the film 'Leo', in the pictures the actress can be seen adoring Vijay, which was shared with the caption, "a heart, infinity and evil eye emoji."
The actress in 2023 also shared a smiling picture Vijay with the caption, "For those of you who asked, waited and wished... This one’s for you..."
Earlier these pictures and messages were seen as friendly and normal wishes but now, they are being interpreted differently by social media users.
Actor Vijay's wife, Sangeeta, has filed a divorce petition in the Chengalpattu Family Court after nearly 27 years of marriage. In her petition, Sangeeta alleges that Vijay had an extramarital affair with an actress. When she learned of the affair in April 2021, Vijay assured her that he would end it. However, the relationship continued, causing her severe mental distress.
Sangeetha and Thalapathy Vijay have been living separately for the past two years. Sangeeta belongs to a Sri Lankan Tamil family and was raised in the United Kingdom. Vijay has recently stepped away from films and begun taking an active role in politics. His party, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, is seen as a rising political force in Tamil Nadu.
Vijay and Sangeeta were married on August 25, 1999. Vijay is a Christian and Sangeeta is a Hindu. The couple married according to Hindu customs, followed by a grand reception in Chennai. Following their marriage, Vijay and Sangeeta welcomed their first child, Jason Sanjay, in 2000, and their daughter, Divya Sasha, in 2005. After 27 years of marriage, Sangeeta has now filed for divorce.
