'This Time the Bullet Won't Miss': Iranian TV's Chilling Message Raises Fresh Alarm for Trump (X)
Iran: A disturbing message aired on Iranian state television has triggered fresh concern in Washington. During a broadcast this week, Iranian TV displayed an image widely seen as a direct threat to US President Donald Trump.
Iranian state TV broadcast an image of Trump from the July 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was grazed by a bullet.
The picture was shared with the caption that was blunt and unsettling: "This time the bullet won’t miss.”
The broadcast has since circulated widely on social media, drawing sharp reactions from American officials and security experts.
This comes after US issued warning to Iran to stop “killing protesters.”
Trump has given repeated warnings to Iran that the US could take military action against Tehran if it continues "violent crackdowns" on people protesting and also said to “take over institutions” as “Help is on the way", referring to US intervention in the protests.
"If Iran kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go," he said.
Referring to reports of executions, Trump said, "We will take very strong action if they do such a thing. When they start killing thousands of people and now you’re telling me about hanging, we’ll see how that’s going to work out for them."
The timing has raised eyebrows. The threat comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US, with conflicts in West Asia, sanctions pressure, and rising rhetoric on both sides. Trump remains a central figure in Iranian narratives, as he authorised the Soleimani strike while in office.
Security analysts say such messaging, even if symbolic, cannot be dismissed lightly. State television in Iran operates under government oversight, making the broadcast politically significant.
American officials have taken note of the broadcast, though no public statement has directly addressed the clip. US agencies are believed to be assessing whether the message represents propaganda, intimidation, or a credible threat.
