Islamabad: There are fears of a rebellion within the Pakistan Army over the deployment of troops to Gaza. Retired soldiers have launched a campaign against Field Marshal Asim Munir. A press release issued by the veterans' organization, Veterans of Pakistan, calls for a rebellion against Asim Munir's decision to deploy troops to Gaza. The press release also accuses the Pakistani government of betraying the Muslim community.

The press release states, "O officers and soldiers of the Pakistani Army! You are the guardians of this sacred land, built with the blood of martyrs and the unwavering will of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. You are not just soldiers; you are the beating heart of the Muslim nation of Pakistan, entrusted by Allah (SWT) with the responsibility of protecting Islam, honor, and justice."

Will there be a rebellion within the Pakistan Army over Gaza deployment?

The press release further stated, "Yet today, a grave deception looms before you: the direct or indirect participation of Pakistani leadership and institutions in Trump's so-called "Board of Peace" for Gaza. This board includes Jews (Zionists) and Christians, who are standing side by side, justifying the occupiers of Al-Quds, while the true voice of the oppressed Palestinians is excluded. Pakistan's participation in this institution, born of US imperialism and Zionist designs, is tantamount to joining hands with the enemies of Islam. Your participation will neither be forgotten nor forgiven by the Pakistani and Muslim ummah."

The revolt warning reads, "We issue a stern, clear, and chilling warning to our mother institution: reject this alliance immediately and unconditionally! Do not surrender your sacred uniform, your weapons, your blood, or even your silence to this treacherous board. Stick to the Quaid-e-Azam's eternal demand: a Pakistan that stands uncompromisingly for Muslim honor, sovereignty, and the freedom of the occupied lands, not as a pawn of Western-Zionist schemes."

If the mother institution (Pakistan Army) succumbs to this pressure and joins hands with Jews and Christians in this anti-Islamic forum, the nation will neither forget nor restrain you, and the most painful question will arise in every soldier's mind: How can a true Muslim attain martyrdom while fighting—or while carrying out the aims of the oppressors of the Mosque of Al-Aqsa?

Why is Asim Munir accused of betraying Muslim Ummah?

The press release issued by former Pakistani military officers further states that "the very foundation of your faith will be shattered because Allah (SWT) commands in the Quran: "O you who believe, do not take Jews and Christians as friends. They are truly friends of one another." (Surah Al-Maidah 5:51). Obeying human orders that contradict Allah's clear commandments is rebellion against His Creator. Morale will be severely shattered. Despair will spread like wildfire through barracks, trenches, and homes.

The consequences will be dire: deep anger, internal divisions, lack of discipline, and rebellion. This will arise not from rebellion against Pakistan, but from the strict obedience of Allah's commandments to the evil dictates of man.

Especially for the leadership: You will be accountable before Allah on a Day when neither wealth nor position will avail you. Repent of this path before it is too late. Step aside from the Peace Board. There is no recognition, no alliance, no cooperation for the Zionist forces or their allies. Choose wisely or face the wrath of history, the displeasure of your soldiers, and the wrath of Al-Rahman. -- Executive Committee, Veterans of Pakistan

According to intelligence offficials, there is widespread anger within the Pakistani military over the deployment of troops to Gaza. Several senior military officers are turning against the government and the Army Chief. Meanwhile, former military officers have now begun openly speaking out. This is a sign of an initial rebellion. Shahbaz Sharif is currently in the United States, and Pakistan has requested a delay from Donald Trump before deploying troops. Shahbaz Sharif may have cited domestic reasons. According to intelligence sources, if the decision to deploy troops is made, and indeed, troops are deployed, several Pakistani military officers and former officers may openly revolt.
