Taiwan Hits Back At Donald Trump’s Warning, Says ‘We Are A Sovereign Nation, Not Under China’

Washington: A statement by US President Donald Trump has once again heated up the atmosphere regarding Taiwan. After meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump said that America does not want to see anyone “be free”. His statement is being linked to Taiwan, after which Taipei also immediately responded.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that America does not want war on the issue of Taiwan, it just wants peace. He said an interesting thing that China is standing at the doorstep of Taiwan, whereas we are thousands of miles away. He also said to let the situation remain as it is – no one should play with fire.
