Kuwait: Late Sunday evening, Iran attacked a service building of a power generation and water desalination plant in Kuwait, killing one worker and causing extensive damage to the plant. This information was given by Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity in a statement issued early on Monday. The ministry described the attack as part of "Iranian aggression against Kuwait", saying the building had suffered "serious material damage".
The Kuwait government has confirmed that the employee killed in the attack was an Indian citizen. With this incident the number of Indian citizens killed in West Asia has reached seven, while another Indian is still missing. There has been no official response yet from the Indian Embassy or the Ministry of External Affairs.

Iran claims that it is only targeting US military bases, not the host countries. But the governments of the Gulf countries have completely rejected this argument. Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity clearly described the attack as "Iranian aggression." There has been no official response from Iran on this.
This conflict began on 28 February 2026 when the US and Israel launched a joint attack aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile program. Since then, Kuwait has become a frequent target of Iranian missiles and drones. Kuwait's international airport, energy infrastructure and refineries have also been attacked.
Kuwait City correspondent Malik Traina reported that on Sunday evening the Defense Ministry intercepted 14 missiles and 12 drones in Kuwaiti airspace, several of which were targeting a military camp, wounding 10 soldiers. So far 67 Kuwaiti army soldiers have been injured in this conflict.
Technical and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene as part of emergency plans immediately after the attack. The ministry said officials are working with security agencies to secure the affected site and ensure normal operation of the plant.
Kuwait's army has appealed to citizens to follow the security instructions issued by the competent authorities. The government says it is monitoring the situation and relying only on information from official sources.
For the first time in history, Iran has simultaneously attacked all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries — Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Gulf countries have jointly condemned Iran's attacks and reaffirmed their right to self-defense under the UN Charter. It is clear that this conflict is no longer limited to a single country; the security and stability of the entire region are at stake.
