Washington: It has been two months since the ceasefire was achieved due to America's intervention. But on Monday, retaliation started again between Israel and Iran. There were attacks from both sides and tension increased again in the entire Middle East. People were scared that war might flare up again.
At present both are saying that they will not take any more military action. But they also warned that if provoked, the response would be harsher than before. Meaning the war has stopped, but not ended.
US President Donald Trump called Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu. He said, "Have some patience." According to the report, Trump warned that if Israel launches a major attack on Iran, its problems in the world will increase. After Trump's speech, Israel postponed the plan to attack many important targets of Iran.
Iran's Joint Military Command said that it is stopping its attacks for now. But also made it clear – if Israel or its friends do anything, the response will be even harsher than before. It means "We are peaceful, but not weak."
Meanwhile, 5 people were killed in an Israeli attack in Tire city of South Lebanon. 8 people were injured, including 4 paramedics. According to local media, Israel had fired a missile at a vehicle.
Trump said that the restrictions imposed on the Strait of Hormuz will continue. Until the deal is finalised, America will not change its strategy. This strait is the most important oil route in the world. Most of the world's oil passes through here. Therefore, as tension increases here, oil prices also start moving.
US forces said they intercepted an oil ship in the Gulf of Oman. The ship was going to the port of Iran and did not stop even after warning. Then American fighter planes attacked the ship's systems.
Trump is saying that America will get "complete victory" against Iran in the next 2 weeks. He also said that talks are going on between the two countries. There may be a deal regarding the nuclear programme. Overall, the tension has definitely reduced, but the atmosphere is still very delicate. The eyes of the whole world are now on whether the ceasefire will last or the Middle East will again go towards war.
