US-Israel-Iran War: Mojtaba Khamenei injured during strikes, president’s son denies ‘missing’ rumours (X)
New Delhi: On the twelfth day of the war, the map of the Middle East is presenting a picture of a conflict whose heat is no longer limited to Iran only. This war has now spread to the Gulf countries, the Strait of Hormuz and the streets of Lebanon. According to the US Army's Central Command (CENTCOM), more than five thousand Iranian targets have been attacked in the first ten days and more than fifty Iranian ships have been damaged or destroyed.
News of Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei being injured in war recently surfaced when Iranian state TV described him as the “Warman of Ramadan”, i.e. a war-wounded veteran. Some reports claimed that he may have been injured during American-Israeli strikes, leading to speculation that he was not seen in public. However, the Iranian president's son and government adviser Youssef Pezeshkian rejected the claims, saying that Mojtaba Khamenei is "completely safe and healthy" and reports of him being missing or seriously injured are not true.
On the first day of the war, 66 missiles were fired towards Qatar, most of which were shot down by the defense system. Missile debris was reported to have fallen at 114 places across the country and 16 people were injured. On 3 March an Iranian missile hit Al-Udeid Airport, although there were no casualties. On 4 March, Qatar arrested ten suspects linked to the IRGC, seven of whom were found to be spying and three were preparing drone attacks. Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said there is currently no contact between Doha and Tehran and the Iranian ambassador was summoned and a strong protest was lodged.

Following the Iranian attacks on March 2, QatarEnergy halted production of first natural gas and then all downstream products, including urea, polymers, methanol and aluminium, and declared 'force majeure' on contracts with its buyers. On 6 March, Energy Minister Saad Sharida al-Kaabi warned that if the war continued, other Gulf energy-producing countries could also be forced to halt exports, 'causing the world's economies to collapse'.
On February 28, Iran fired 137 missiles and 209 drones towards the United Arab Emirates. Flames of fire and smoke reached the Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al-Arab, considered symbols of Dubai. At least one person died and seven were injured at Abu Dhabi Airport. Airports in Dubai, Doha and Kuwait also came under attack. Plumes of smoke billowed from near the US Embassy in Kuwait and a US fighter plane was reported to have crashed in Kuwait, although all pilots survived. Kuwait's National Guard shot down eight drones, while an airborne alarm in Bahrain prompted people to evacuate, according to documents released Tuesday.
The UK Maritime Trade Agency said Tuesday that a cargo ship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz and the crew began evacuating the ship, according to the document. In another incident on the same day, a container ship was attacked by an unidentified projectile 25 nautical miles north-west of Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, damaging the ship but keeping the crew safe. The US Navy says it has destroyed more than a dozen Iranian mine vessels.
According to the document, the Islamic Resistance Group of Iraq claimed that it had carried out a total of 291 attacks against US troops deployed in Iraq and other bases in the region in the past twelve days, in which American troops were reported to have been killed. Iran also claimed it fired four missiles at America's Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

According to information received from the document, Australia's Home Minister Tony Burke said that seven members of Iran's women's football team, five players and two others have sought asylum in Australia instead of returning to their country. They have been granted humanitarian visas. This incident is a picture of the fear that has now penetrated into every household in Iran.
On February 28, the very first day of the war, missiles were fired thrice at a girls' primary school named 'Shajrah-e-Tayyaba' in Minab, a southern city of Iran. According to Iranian media, 168 to 180 people were killed in the attack, most of whom were schoolgirls. Investigations by several major international media organizations, including the New York Times, CNN and CBC, revealed that an American BGM/UGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile had fallen near the school, hitting an IRGC naval base and causing massive destruction to the adjacent school building.
President Trump stated his 'opinion' that Iran carried out the attack based on what he saw. But Defense Minister Hegseth repeatedly said that the Pentagon is investigating this. Al Jazeera When a reporter asked Trump why he was the only one in his administration holding Iran accountable, he said, "Because I don't know enough about it." He also said that the Tomahawk is a 'very generic' weapon and Iran may also have some. Six senior Democratic members of the US Senate called for an impartial investigation in a joint statement, calling it 'appalling and unacceptable'.
Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian assured Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif that Iran has no intention of going into conflict with any neighboring country in the region. According to the document, Pope Leo XIV expressed his deep condolences to the victims of the Middle East bombings, saying that among those killed were many innocent children, as well as people who had helped, such as Father Pierre al-Rahi, a Lebanese Maronite priest. The Pope prayed for an immediate armistice.
On the twelfth day, the fire of war has not been extinguished neither in Iran, nor in the Gulf, nor in Lebanon. The eyes of the world are now fixed on one question to which neither Washington nor Tehran has the answer – when will this stop?
