Nobel Peace Prize for Donald Trump? Putin Backs US President’s Nomination

Nobel Peace Prize: In a significant development related to the Nobel Peace Prize, Russian President, Vladimir Putin has backed the US President Donald Trump's demand of the Nobel Peace prize. It is to be noted that US President has been demanding the Nobel Peace Prize for the past few months.

In a latest development, Putin has supported Trump's demand to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. However, this is a surprising move as Putin's support for Trump in this regard was unexpected. 

Menawhile, the US President has consistently blamed Putin and Russia for the Ukraine war. On several occasions, Trump has also warned Putin of the war consequences. Notably, Trump and Putin even conducted a historic bilateral meeting in Alaska to end the Ukraine war. However, this meeting did not yield any positive outcome. 

Nobel peace prize announcement schedule

Meanwhile, the nobel peace prize announcement will be done on Friday in Oslo. Notably, the nobel award is presented by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. It has received as many as 338 nominations in 2025, consisting of 244 individuals and 94 organisations. It is to be noted that the official announcement will be done by Jørgen Watne Frydnes, at the Norwegian Nobel Institute.

Will Donald Trump get the Nobel Peace Prize?

Brian Mast, a Republican Congressman from Florida, while speaking on Fox News, said, "Everybody has been talking about: 'Will he get the Nobel Peace Prize?'" "Those academics and elites sitting in Norway… they need to give President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize."

Meanwhile, a former Israeli government spokesperson, Eylon Levy, said, "There's very little that Israelis agree on, but there's one point of consensus this morning — President Donald Trump deserves that Nobel Peace Prize."
