Korea: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has made it clear that his country will further strengthen its nuclear power. During the recent Parliament session, he indicated that now nuclear weapons will be considered a part of the country's permanent policy and there is no question of going back on it.
The government has decided to increase defense spending in the budget of 2026. According to reports, more than 15% of the total budget will now be given to the defense sector, with special emphasis on strengthening nuclear and military capabilities.
In his address, Kim said that nuclear weapons are the guarantee of the country's security. He also reiterated that there is no question of ending the nuclear program in exchange for any pressure or deal.
Kim Jong Un described South Korea as "the most hostile country" and accused the US of escalating tensions in the region. He says that in the current situation, only strong military preparation is necessary for North Korea.
During this period, a new five-year plan was also presented, in which the focus was on increasing industry, energy and food production. However, along with this, giving priority to military power also remains a part of the government's strategy.
Experts believe that this decision may further increase tension in the area. This stance of North Korea clearly indicates that it is no longer in a mood to make any kind of compromise regarding nuclear weapons.
This step of Kim Jong Un has also made it clear that in the coming time, North Korea can increase its military and nuclear capability more rapidly, which may pose a new challenge in global politics.
