International News: Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has made a sensational claim. His claim has raised many big questions on the country's bureaucracy. Actually, Khawaja Asif has posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), in which he has said that more than half of the country's bureaucrats have bought land.

This land has not been bought in big countries like America and Britain but in a small country like Portugal. Along with this, Khawaja Asif has claimed that after buying the properties, these people are now preparing to get citizenship there. Some have even gotten citizenship there.

3 thousand Pak took Portuguese citizenship in 8 years

According to Khawaja Asif, all these officers have held high and famous positions. They embezzled billions of rupees during their tenure. According to Asif, all of them now want to go there after their jobs so that they can live a peaceful retirement life abroad. According to the Pakistani government, from 2016 to 2024, about 3 thousand Pakistanis have taken Portuguese citizenship.

Salute from billions and now living a comfortable life

Khawaja Asif also gave a shocking example. He said that an officer very close to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had collected up to Rs 4 billion as salami for the wedding of his daughters alone. Now he is comfortably living his retirement life abroad.

“Leaders only get lies…” Asif’s sarcasm

Khwaja Asif did not stop here, but he also took a dig at the condition of politicians. He said that politicians only get false promises. They neither have plots nor foreign citizenship, because they have to contest elections too, so such facilities are not possible for them.
