Russian General Killed in Car Bomb Attack in Moscow: Officials (X @Mike_Eckel)
Moscow: In a shocking incident, a senior Russian general was killed in Moscow, on Monday. The incident took place due as a bomb, placed under his car, exploded. Russian officials have blamed Ukraine for the latest bomb attack in which a senior Russian military officer was assassinated.
A Russian general has been killed in a car bombing in Moscow, revealed the officials. As per statement of the Russia's Investigative Committee, Lt Gen Fanil Sarvarov died as an explosive device planted under a car detonated, on Monday morning.
As per the primary reports, Sarvarov was 56. The committee said that the Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' operational training department. Meanwhile, the committee added that there is also one theory that the bomb was planted with the help of Ukrainian intelligence services. However, Ukraine has not commented on the same.

Meanwhile, as per the report by the Russian media, Sarvarov was earlier part of the combat operations during the Ossetian-Ingush conflict and the Chechen wars.
