New Delhi: The number of seats in the fourth phase of teacher recruitment in Bihar may increase again. The Education Department has received information about 76 new vacant posts from various districts. The state headquarters is preparing to include these posts in the TRE-4 recruitment process. The vacancies received from the districts are being verified and categorized at the departmental level.
Currently, 33,320 posts are to be filled under TRE-4. This includes posts in secondary and higher secondary schools. Previously, advertisements were issued for 32,288 posts. Later, the total number of vacancies was increased to 33,320 by adding 493 secondary and 439 higher secondary posts. Now, with the receipt of information about 76 new posts, the total number of seats is likely to increase again. The vacancies for these new posts are related to agriculture.
The Education Department had requested details of school-wise and subject-wise vacant positions from all districts. Several districts have submitted information that was not included in the previous requisition. The department is now examining the utilization, approval, and reservation roster of these positions.
Candidates can apply online for teacher recruitment till October 26.
Selection will be based on a single written exam. Negative marking will be applied, so random guesswork will be prohibited. Negative marking of 1/3 will apply.
About 10 days ago, after adding 932 posts to 32,388 posts, the total number of recruitments had reached 33,320.
While the OMR sheet previously displayed four options, it will now also display a fifth option. If this fifth circle is not filled in after skipping a question, marks will be deducted. Candidates who fail to tick this option will be deducted 1/3 of their marks. This means negative marking will apply for every question where no option is ticked.
