PM Modi Uttarakhand Visit LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Uttarakhand today. Earlier, PM visited Varanasi in the morning today. This was PM Modi's 52nd visit to Kashi. During his Varanasi visit, PM Modi met Mauritius PM and bilateral issues were discussed at Hotel Taj. Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam arrived in Varanasi on Wednesday on a three-day visit. He is on a state visit to India from 9-16 September 2025. Mauritius PM was welcomed in a traditional manner.

After visiting Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. During his visit, he will conduct an aerial survey of disaster-hit districts of Uttarakhand.
As per latest update in PM Modi and Mauritius PM meet, India and Mauritius are set to take steps to conduct trade in local currency, said PM Modi.
PM Modi said, ''On the ongoing State visit of Mauritius PM Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri says, "One of the major outcomes of this visit is our decision to offer a special economic package to Mauritius. This covers multiple elements, including development of the port of Port Louis, development and assistance for surveillance of the Chagos Marine Protected area, blended financial assistance in the form of grants and a line of credit for major projects..."
Mauritius PM Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam said, "India, through its various governments, has accompanied Mauritius in its journey toward progress and development. We have benefited from India's generous assistance and expertise in key sectors of national development, including but not limited to health, education, capacity building, renewable energy, infrastructure, and maritime security. India's timely support in these areas continues to make a tangible difference in improving the quality of life of Mauritians...This is a special economic package, as the Prime Minister said, in education, energy, infrastructure, and health services. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "IIT Madras and the Indian Institute of Plantation Management have signed agreements with the University of Mauritius. These agreements will take our partnership in research, education and innovation to new heights. A free, open, secure, stable and prosperous Indian Ocean is our common priority. India is fully committed to strengthening the security and maritime capacity of Mauritius's Exclusive Economic Zone. India has always stood as the first responder and a security provider in the Indian Ocean region. Mauritius' coast guard ship is being refitted in India. Their 120 officers are also being trained in India. Today, an agreement has been signed on cooperation in the field of hydrography and for the next five years, there will be joint survey of EEZ, mutual cooperation in navigation, charts and hydrography data."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Energy security is an important pillar of our partnership. India is assisting Mauritius in its energy transition. 100 electric buses are being provided to Mauritius, of which 10 have already arrived. The Comprehensive Partnership Agreement concluded in the field of energy will give it further impetus. We have decided to cooperate in the construction of a 17.5 Megawatt floating solar power plant at Tamarind Falls. So far, more than 5,000 Mauritian citizens have received training in India. During my March visit, it was decided to train 500 civil servants. I am very happy that the first batch is currently undergoing training in Mussoorie. Today, we have decided that a new Directorate of Science and Technology will be established in Mauritius, and soon we will also start training modules of Mission Karmayogi in Mauritius."

Ahead of the bilateral talks with Mauritian counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Varanasi, PM Modi went on a road show. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Thursday morning. PM was was welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak and other ministers. During this, the Chief Secretary and DGP were also present.
As per reports, people in Varanasi are all set to welcome PM Modi with by carrying GST placard. A huge gathering of BJP leaders and workers from Ambedkar Square to Taj Hotel to welcome PM Modi can be seen. This is a move to welome PM Modi's GST reform.
