The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over the case of brutally beating a sevadaar to death in the Kalkaji temple of Delhi. Senior AAP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Atishi has written a letter to CM Rekha Gupta demanding her immediate resignation. She said that the brutal murder of Sevadaar Yogendra Singh has shown that the law and order in Delhi is completely destroyed. Criminals do not fear the police, because the 4-engine government of BJP has failed. When CM Rekha Gupta cannot provide security to the people of Delhi, then she should resign.

Atihsi's Letter to the CM

Atishi has said in a letter to the CM, 'I want to draw your attention to the continuously deteriorating law and order in Delhi.' The situation in the country's capital, Delhi, has become so bad that now people do not feel safe even in their homes, markets and religious places. Recently, a Sevadaar serving in Kalkaji temple was brutally beaten to death by 5-6 people over a minor dispute regarding Prasad. This entire incident has been captured on camera. This is not just an incident but testifies to the collapsed state of law and order in Delhi.

Atihsi Describing the Past Incident that Happened in the City

Atishi has said that while I am writing this letter to you, there are reports that a property dealer's house has been shot at for not paying extortion money of Rs 5 crore. Many such horrific incidents have come to light in the month of August itself. She said that on August 10, there was a triple murder in Maidangarhi; on August 8, actress Huma Qureshi's cousin Asif Qureshi was killed in a parking dispute in Nizamuddin. Just 200 metres from the Deputy Commissioner of Police's office in I.P. Extension, a young man was stabbed while trying to rob his phone and bag. Atishi, while referring to the recent attack on Rekha Gupta, said that these circumstances are not limited to the common people only. You yourself were also attacked recently. If even the Chief Minister is not safe, then imagine the safety of common citizens.

Atishi has said that the most shameful and shocking thing is that the senior officers of Delhi Police themselves are addressing a dangerous gangster like Lawrence Bishnoi as "Sahab". It seems that for Delhi Police, criminals like Lawrence have now become their "Sahab". What bigger proof is needed than this that law and order are completely in the hands of criminals and the police are proving to be dwarfs?

Slams 4th Engine Government

Leader of the Opposition Atishi has said that the four-engine government of BJP has completely failed today. The public was hoping that the four engines of BJP will together accelerate security and development, but the reality is that all four engines of BJP have jammed in Delhi. Delhi has today become the capital of murder, robbery, extortion and gang war. Criminals are fearlessly committing crimes in broad daylight, and the police are only engaged in formality. Atishi has said that Chief Minister, now the time has come that you and your four-engine government should go beyond show-offs and speeches and fix accountability. The people of Delhi are asking, how long will the people of Delhi remain unsafe? How long will criminals keep committing crimes openly? If you cannot provide security to the people of Delhi, then you have no right to remain in power. It would be better if you resigned. Because the public now wants only action, not excuses.
