National News: Arvind Kejriwal addressed the media in Ahmedabad, declaring that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would no longer partner with any political party, including Congress. He emphasized that the INDIA bloc was only meant for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His decision marks a significant political pivot, particularly as AAP eyes national expansion. The statement reflects growing mistrust between INDIA bloc allies and AAP's rising ambitions. It also sets the stage for direct competition in state elections. AAP’s new strategy hints at independence over alliance-based politics.

Solo Bid in Bihar Confirmed

Kejriwal made it clear that AAP will contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections alone. He said, "We fought the Visavadar bypoll independently and won with three times more votes." This, he argued, was public endorsement of AAP as a viable alternative. The Bihar elections, he believes, are an opportunity to cement AAP’s ground outside Delhi and Punjab. Kejriwal is betting big on voter dissatisfaction with both BJP and Congress. His move effectively positions AAP as a third front in the politically crucial state. Bihar’s fragmented opposition might aid AAP's ambitions.

No More Congress Collaboration

Kejriwal shut down speculation of a future alliance with Congress, citing lack of electoral credibility. He emphasized, "In Gujarat, we fought alone and we will win alone." He criticized Congress for failing to challenge BJP’s dominance effectively. According to him, Congress is no longer a trustworthy or capable opposition force. The statement could further strain INDIA bloc dynamics post-Lok Sabha elections. His comments also reflect AAP’s intent to seize Congress’s voter base. The shift underscores AAP's growing confidence on the national stage.

Hitting Hard at Gujarat BJP

The Delhi CM slammed Gujarat’s BJP government for years of misrule. He accused it of turning a blind eye to basic infrastructure and public service issues. Referring to the Surat floods, Kejriwal blamed the disaster on poor planning and corruption. He called Gujarat a victim of “30 years of stagnant governance.” The attack signals AAP’s determination to challenge BJP in its own stronghold. Kejriwal is presenting AAP as a corruption-free, governance-focused alternative in Gujarat.

Youth and Farmers in Focus

Kejriwal said youth unemployment and farmer distress are two major issues plaguing Gujarat. He claimed BJP has failed to deliver jobs or safeguard farmers’ interests. He added that high prices and poor agricultural policies have made life harder. AAP, he promised, would ensure employment opportunities and better subsidies. He urged students and farmers to consider AAP as a vehicle of change. The outreach reflects AAP’s focus on core livelihood issues to woo new demographics.

Congress is Not the Answer

Kejriwal dismissed Congress as a weak player, alleging their MLAs often defect to BJP. "Even if Congress wins, they eventually merge with BJP," he said. He argued that voters see no resistance in Congress’s politics. AAP, in contrast, offers what he calls “real opposition.” The statement was designed to steal Congress’s thunder in Gujarat and Bihar. It aligns with AAP’s broader strategy to replace Congress as BJP’s principal challenger. The fight is now visibly bipolar in narrative.

Gujarat Campaign Unleashed Now

Kejriwal launched the "Gujarat Jodo Abhiyan," aiming to reach every home five times in the next 2.5 years. He called upon youth to abandon their old party loyalties. "Join hands for a corruption-free Gujarat," he appealed. The campaign will include door-to-door outreach and digital mobilization. AAP plans to leverage its Delhi-Punjab governance model as proof of promise. Kejriwal’s strategy is to start early, build base, and capture anti-incumbency mood. Gujarat may become AAP’s next electoral battleground.
