From 'Dogesh Babu' to 'Samsung' case: Another Fake Form in Bihar Goes Viral (Image Source: ChatGPT/Pixels (Image is just for representative purposes))

A strange case has surfaced once again in Jehanabad, Bihar, just days after similar incidents involving residential certificates for pet dogs named 'Dog Babu' and 'Dogesh Babu'. This time, an income certificate application was submitted under the name "Samsung", with the applicant's parents listed as "iPhone" and "Smartphone".

According to an Indian TV media report, the form even mentioned the family’s address as "gaddha," which translates to "pit" in English. A photo of the form circulating online shows the parents’ names spelt as “Iphoan” and “Smartphoan.” The media has not been able to confirm whether the form is real.

When the application reached the Modanganj block office, the officials were surprised. The staff immediately informed Circle Officer (CO) Mohammad Asif Hussain, who said it looked like a prank and promised that strong action would be taken.

Strict Action Will Follow: Officials

The CO confirmed that a formal complaint had been filed with the cyber police in Jehanabad to investigate who submitted the application. He also added that such jokes waste government time and resources and confuse the administration. Officials are taking the matter seriously and plan to punish those responsible. The local administration has made it clear that pranks involving public documents are not a laughing matter.

Earlier case was dog named 'Dogesh Babu' applying for residential certificate

This is not the first time something like this has happened in Bihar. Earlier, someone applied for a residence certificate using the name “Dogesh Babu” and even added a photo of a dog with the form. That case happened in the Nawada district.
In response, District Magistrate Ravi Prakash ordered a detailed inquiry into the misuse of the RTPS (Right to Public Service) portal. He said FIRs were being filed and that such behavior would not be tolerated. He also warned that the system is not for jokes and that copying these pranks would result in legal action.
