Operation Sindoor

National News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Dahod, Gujarat, as part of the ‘Sindoor Samman Yatra,’ unleashing a scathing attack on the opposition. “This time everything happened in front of the camera, Pakistan itself gave the evidence,” Modi declared, referring to footage of terror camps in Pakistan, exposed after the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians. The rally, part of his two-day Gujarat visit, saw thousands chanting “Modi-Modi,” celebrating Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory strike on May 7 that destroyed nine terror bases. Modi’s remarks targeted opposition parties for their silence on Pakistan’s role.

Exposing Pakistan’s Terror Network

Modi highlighted how Operation Sindoor, a 25-minute missile and drone assault, obliterated Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed camps in Muridke, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad, killing over 100 terrorists. Intelligence revealed Pakistan’s training of operatives for Kashmir attacks, with video evidence—shared by Indian agencies—showing terror infrastructure, contradicting Pakistan’s denials. Modi accused the Congress and its allies of ignoring this “camera-caught truth” to appease vote banks, questioning their commitment to national security. The operation, praised by Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s family on stage, reinforced India’s zero-tolerance stance, with Modi vowing, “We act on our terms for 140 crore Indians.”

Opposition and Public Reactions

The opposition faced Modi’s ire for downplaying Pakistan’s terrorism, with Congress leaders like Jairam Ramesh dismissing the strikes as “electoral stunts.” Modi countered, citing global support from Iran and the UAE, and urged unity against terrorism. X posts reflected public pride, with #SindoorSamman trending, though some criticized Congress’s silence as “anti-national.” Modi’s Gujarat visit, launching ₹82,950 crore in projects, amplified his narrative of strength and development. As Pakistan’s PM Sharif sought talks on May 26, Modi’s rally underscored India’s firm stand, challenging the opposition to prioritize national interest over political gains.
