New Delhi: The crushing defeat of the Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections has given such a blow to the Congress that the fire of rebellion broke out within the party. Congress, a partner in the Grand Alliance, was reduced to just 5 seats. As soon as the defeat occurred, questions intensified on the weakness of the organization, wrong ticket distribution, and leadership disconnected from ground reality.
Weak organization or corruption in ticket distribution?
In Patna, Congress leader Kripanath Pathak said that correct information did not reach the top leadership; that is why such a big mistake happened. He warned that if the leadership does not wake up, there will be a serious crisis. Senior Nikhil Kumar blamed the weakness of the organization. He said that only a strong structure wins elections; the candidates were good, but the strategy failed. Patna MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh accepted that a thorough review is necessary. A friendly fight with RJD caused harm. AIMIM's better performance than Congress in Seemanchal was surprising. It was a Congress stronghold in the last elections.

Shashi Tharoor's sharp attack—'Scientific investigation should be done?'
Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor described the defeat as a 'serious disappointment.' Introspection will not help. Strategic and organizational mistakes should be scientifically investigated. He said that he was not invited for the Bihar campaign and hence did not have direct experience of the ground situation. Therefore there should be scientific investigation. Former minister Mani Shankar Aiyar sarcastically said that Congress did not consider him worthy. These statements are indicating division in the party. Questions were raised on Tharoor's inaction.
Mumtaz Patel's blast—'Stop with excuses; leadership is cut off from ground reality'?
Mumtaz Patel took the most direct hit. She said that now neither excuse nor blame will suffice. The party is losing again and again because power is concentrated in the hands of a few people, who are cut off from the ground reality. She said that the voices of voters are being suppressed. The roots of the organization became weak. Shakeel Ahmed mentioned irregularities in ticket distribution. He said that if the allegations are true, then action should be taken. These criticisms are shaking the high command. Will Rahul Gandhi bring reforms?
No excuses ,No blame game No introspection , it’s time to look within and accept reality. Till when will countless loyal ground workers who have stayed with the party through thick and thin …wait to see success … instead it’s failure after failure due to power concentrated in…

What is the lesson of the Bihar defeat?
NDA's victory in Bihar showed a mirror to Congress. Among OBCs, 51% showed inclination towards NDA. Muslim votes went to MGB but got split. 43% NDA vote share. Is this a warning for 2026 UP? Mahabharata broke out in the party due to the rebellion of the leaders. It is necessary to conduct an internal review.
