Madhya Pradesh: In a bizarre incident in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, officials from the Income Tax Department stumbled upon four crocodiles while raiding a house. The officers were shocked and puzzled by the unexpected discovery. The Forest Department was immediately informed, and a rescue team was dispatched to the site. The crocodiles were safely rescued and transported to a secure location.

The raid linked to Rajesh Kesarwani

The Income Tax Department raided the premises of a beedi manufacturer, building construction contractor, and former BJP councilor Rajesh Kesarwani. Yet, no word came from the Income Tax Department on the discovery of the crocodile. The nature of the raid and whether it is connected with Kesarwani is not known.

Wildlife protection act investigation

According to Asim Srivastava, Head of the Forest Force in Madhya Pradesh, the case has already been filed under the Wildlife Protection Act. "The health of the crocodiles is being closely observed and ensured to be properly treated," he said. Further action will be taken from the side of the Forest Department by probing into this matter.

Mystery behind the crocodiles

While details about the house where the four crocodiles were found are yet to be released, it is confirmed that four crocodiles have been rescued from the house. The reptiles have been taken for examination by veterinarians and found to be normal. After thorough health check-ups, the crocodiles will be shifted to a more appropriate environment.

Local sensation

Local citizens raise eyebrows by discovery of the house containing a live crocodile. The danger they pose will only make it very hard to tell why some will keep the crocodiles as domestic pets.
Local people can only guess with curiosity about keeping such dangerous animals in private apartments.

Local investigation is now on

The Madhya Pradesh Forest Department will continue to study the case; further details might be presented in court. This is an authority that is responsible for ensuring there is justice about the law broken and the people held accountable for any illegal possession of wildlife.
