Mumbai: Bollywood was in shock over a shocking incident of stabbing multiple times to the actor Saif Ali Khan by a burglar who entered his residence at Bandra early on Thursday morning. The 54-year-old actor has recovered with the treatment received from surgery in Lilavati Hospital where six stabs had injured him-two were deep.

It is said that this attack took place about 2:00 AM, when an intruder broke into the apartment of Khan called Satguru Sharan. It is told in preliminary reports that before reaching the actor's residence, the assailant crossed the domestic help of the actor. Police sources report that police were saying after the scuffle, the attacker ran off taking with him grave injuries on the body of Khan. The Mumbai Police have filed an attempted robbery case and are still investigating with the help of footage from the closed-circuit camera to catch the suspect.

Saif Ali Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital nearly at 3:30 AM after the attack. The doctors reportedly said that he was safe and fine after the surgery. They also confirmed that though Saif has sustained an injury, the rest of the family is safe.
