New Delhi: A major road accident took place on the Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway in the early hours of Tuesday. Suddenly several buses and cars collided with each other near Milestone 127 in the Baldev police station area of Mathura district. The collision was so strong that within a few minutes many vehicles caught fire, and there was chaos on the spot.
According to local information, vehicles suddenly collided one after the other on the expressway in the morning. Within no time, 7 buses and 3 cars were hit. After the collision, the fire spread, due to which many vehicles were completely burnt. Before the people present on the road at the time of the accident could understand anything, the situation had worsened.
As soon as information about the accident was received, teams of police, administration, the fire brigade, and the Yamuna Expressway Authority reached the spot. The fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control after hard work. SSP Shlok Kumar said that four people have died in this accident, while many passengers have been injured. The dead are being identified.

The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals by ambulances. The condition of some people is said to be serious. The administration has instructed the hospitals that there should be no negligence in treatment and all necessary facilities should be provided to the injured.
After the accident, traffic on the expressway came to a complete halt. Due to security reasons, the route was closed for some time, and vehicles were sent through other routes. After the burnt vehicles were removed and the road was cleared, traffic gradually became normal.
The administration says that the real reasons for the accident are being investigated. Initially, the possibility of reasons like visibility, high speed, or technical fault is also being considered. This incident has once again raised questions on the security arrangements and vehicle checking system on the expressway.
People present at the spot said that after the collision there was a loud noise, due to which it seemed as if there was an explosion. People from nearby villages rushed to help. There was shouting all around. Many people helped in taking out the injured. At present, relief and rescue work has been completed, but the horror of the accident still remains in the minds of people.
