Chhattisgarh: Two killed, several injured in Raipur construction site mishap. Saturday has witnessed a tragic accident at the under-construction Vishal Nagar, Raipur, in which two laborers lost their lives and six others were injured when a centering frame had collapsed. According to eyewitness accounts, the centering frame, a form of structure placed above the concrete used for supporting them, crashed as the slab laying was going on between the 7th and 10th floors of the building around 3:30 PM.Eight workers were trapped under the debris, including iron bars and other construction materials. Emergency teams arrived at the scene and then rushed the trapped workers to nearby hospitals. Before the bodies could be taken to the hospital for treatment, two workers succumbed to their injuries, sending shock waves throughout the community.Still Searching for More SurvivorsThe police first reported that 10 workers were injured by the accident. However, with the debris and construction materials that are being cleaned up from the site, one can approximate a higher number of workers buried under the debris.
