A fresh FIR has been filed against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It is alleged that she publicly made inflammatory and anti-national statements at a rally on Rani Rashmoni Road in Kolkata on June 2.
During the TMC's protest, Mamata Banerjee had linked the Home Ministry and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's name to a major massacre in Bangladesh. Now, Advocate Rinki Chatterjee Singh has filed complaint at the Siliguri Cyber Crime Police Station.

During the rally, Mamata Banerjee mentioned the controversial Osman Hadi murder case in Bangladesh. Without naming anyone, she said, "The STF arrested a major murderer from Bangladesh, which caused a huge uproar in Bangladesh. I'm not talking about another country. The people I'm talking about come to Bengal from Meghalaya. Our STF arrests them when they come here. The Home Minister himself is saying... I didn't speak for so long, but today the atrocities have crossed all limits, so I'm speaking out. He said... You tell the Bengal Police that this matter shouldn't go out. This is for the country. Who got the murder done, whose names came up... I know everything."
The complaint alleges that Mamata Banerjee made a public statement on a sensitive issue related to the country's internal security. She cited the Home Minister and made provocative remarks. A case has been filed at the Siliguri Cyber Crime Police Station, calling the statement "anti-national." Trinamool Congress claims Mamata Banerjee spoke the truth, while the BJP is calling it a "play with national security."
