Haryana: Two medical students from Haryana's Nuh district are stranded in Iran, where tensions in West Asia have intensified. The situation has worsened after the attack on Iran by America and Israel, and the families of these students are very upset.

Who are these students, and when did they go to Iran?

25-year-old Ziya ur Rehman of Rai Puri village and 22-year-old Fahed Khan of Bisru village had gone to Iran for studies in the year 2023. Both are doing MBBS at Arak University. Currently Ziya is in his sixth semester, and his exams are going on.

What is the condition of the family?

Ziya's father Shamsuddin, who is a government teacher, talks to his son every day. There was also talk on Monday afternoon. He said that the son says that the situation is fine in Arak city now, but still there is fear in the heart. Jiya said that many students from Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, UP and Telangana are studying with him. Everyone is in touch with the universities and the Indian Embassy has also taken the list of students.

Fahed's uncle Tasleem Khan said that he spoke to him on Monday, before that the calls were not going through for 2-3 days. Fahed also said that everything is normal in Arak and the university is providing full help to the foreign students. The families are pleading with the government to take full care of the safety of these children.

What is the district administration doing?

Nuh Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani said that they are in constant touch with the families. The situation is being monitored, and whatever necessary steps need to be taken will be taken as per the instructions of the central government.

The family members are just praying that everything gets better soon and their children return home safely. The restlessness of the heart can be understood at such a time, when there are reports of explosions outside and children are away.
