New Delhi: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was put on high alert on Sunday morning. The reason was an email containing a bomb threat regarding a flight coming from Amsterdam. Sources said that airport customer care received an email from an unknown person in the early hours.
The sender of the mail said that a bomb was planted in the Kuala Lumpur Airways flight coming from Amsterdam to Shamshabad. It was written in the threat that the blast could happen at any time, even before reaching Hyderabad.
The good thing was that the flight landed safely. The airport people immediately parked the plane in the isolation bay. Right now the security forces and airport teams are searching the entire plane. All passengers are safe and nothing suspicious has been found so far in the search.

On Saturday, an unknown person sent mail saying that there was a bomb in the AirAsia flight coming from Malaysia. It was written in the mail that the plane would be blown up before reaching Hyderabad.
The authority immediately informed the security agencies and started emergency protocols. Surveillance was increased. Passenger screening, baggage checking and monitoring were intensified. The sensitive areas of the airport were searched along with the bomb-disposal squad.
On Friday, threatening mail was received regarding Lufthansa flight LH-754 coming from Frankfurt, Germany. It was written in the mail that a bomb had been planted in the flight and it would be detonated before it reached Shamshabad. Even after this, emergency protocols were immediately initiated. There is tension at the airport due to threats being received for the third consecutive day. Nothing suspicious has been found so far in all the cases. The police are searching for the person who sent the mail.
