Hyderabad Airport On High Alert After Bomb Threat To Netherlands Flight

New Delhi: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was put on high alert on Sunday morning. The reason was an email containing a bomb threat regarding a flight coming from Amsterdam. Sources said that airport customer care received an email from an unknown person in the early hours.

What was written in the email?

The sender of the mail said that a bomb was planted in the Kuala Lumpur Airways flight coming from Amsterdam to Shamshabad. It was written in the threat that the blast could happen at any time, even before reaching Hyderabad.

What happened to the flight?

The good thing was that the flight landed safely. The airport people immediately parked the plane in the isolation bay. Right now the security forces and airport teams are searching the entire plane. All passengers are safe and nothing suspicious has been found so far in the search.

No. This is the third bomb threat to Shamshabad airport in three days. Security has been tightened at the airport after continuous mail arrivals.
