The protest took place when students received notices to vacate the hostel. According to the administration, Nitish Kumar and other students forcibly entered the admin block and damaged the door and university property. The order states that this act falls in the category of serious indiscipline, but keeping in mind the career of the student, a fine of only Rs 10,000 has been imposed. Nitish Kumar will have to deposit this amount within 10 days, and he has also been given the right to appeal within 20 days.
