New Delhi: The court has granted bail to Shivam Mishra, son of tobacco trader KK Mishra, in the Kanpur Lamborghini case. The court ordered his release on a personal bond of 20,000 rupees. The court also rejected the police's 14-day remand request. Shivam was arrested around 9 am on Thursday morning and was released within just seven hours.
Today, police arrested Shivam Mishra, son of KK Mishra, owner of the Banshidhar Tobacco Group, in connection with the accident involving a luxury Lamborghini car worth approximately ₹12 crore on VIP Road in Kanpur. This is the same Mohan M whom KK Mishra had identified as the driver of the Lamborghini car.
However, based on the police report, the court of ACJM Amit Singh did not consider Mohan to be the driver of the accident car and rejected his surrender application. In the report submitted to the court, the police stated that driver Mohan is neither a named accused nor has his name been revealed. Meanwhile, on Shivam Mishra's application for the release of the car, the court directed the submission of documents and a technical inspection, and requested a report within two days.
