Victims' grief: Families devastated

A man, weeping, said his brother's elder son was killed in the accident, his younger son is still missing, and his brother's wife is in the ICU. He said, "My son has an eye injury, and I don't know who to turn to."

Witnesses say the arrangements were inadequate

An eyewitness named Nand Kumar said, "We were present there. There was no proper arrangement to control the crowd.The arrival of Vijay was already reported, but by the time he arrived, the situation had deteriorated. "He expressed grief and said that he wish that injured should be cured soon, but such incident should not happen again.

Another eyewitness Surya said that many times more people had reached the site. The situation was so serious that even the ambulance could not go inside.

The chief minister expressed grief

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin went to the hospital and met the injured and consoled the families. He said, "This is a very painful incident, which cannot be imagined. As soon as the news was received, I immediately sent ministers and officials to Karur.

DGP's Statement

DGP G. Venkataraman said that the program was permitted from 3 pm to 10 pm, but the crowd had gathered since morning. People kept waiting for hours without water and food. By the time Vijay arrived at around 7:40 pm, the atmosphere was out of control.

He said that the police were limited, but Vijay himself praised thier efforts. He also said that party workers must take responsibility for crowd management to prevent such incidents in the future. A one-member commission has been formed to investigate.
