Enraged, the dargah's chief servitor, Harjinder Pal alias Baba Pammi Shah (58), brutally beat him. Seriously injured, Umesh was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. When the young man killed the rooster, he lost his temper and attacked him. The deceased, Umesh Yadav, was originally from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, and currently lives in Mundian, Ludhiana.

Relative Recounts the Incident

Umesh's cousin, Rahul Yadav, said that on the evening of October 6th, they were returning after dropping a relative at Dhandari railway station. Umesh began having seizures and went to a nearby shrine. A white rooster was roaming there, and Umesh killed it by twisting its neck. Three people at the shrine then attacked him.
