Mann Government Launches Rs 15 Crore Clean Water Project in Sunam on Dussehra

Punjab News: Dussehra, the festival that marks the triumph of good over evil, has brought special happiness for the people of Sunam this year. On this day, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has given a life-changing gift to the people of the city. A clean water supply project worth Rs 15.22 crore was inaugurated, ending the long struggle of residents who faced drinking water problems for decades. Project to Ensure Clean Drinking Water

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, while launching the project, said it reflects the vision of the Mann Government, which is committed to providing basic facilities to every person. As part of this plan, a 34-kilometer-long new pipeline will be laid throughout Sunam. With this, 1,472 houses will now get clean water directly from taps. Along with the pipeline, a large water tank with a capacity of 2 lakh liters will also be built to ensure a regular and strong supply of drinking water.

Until now, many families had to travel long distances to get water or pay high amounts to buy it. Contaminated water also caused several health problems in the past. With this new system, residents will finally get safe and pure drinking water, protecting children, elders, and families from hardships and illnesses.
