Mathur rape: In a distressing incident in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, a 13-year-old Dalit girl was abducted and subjected to a horrific ordeal. The incident occurred when the young girl, out for a routine visit to a local grocery shop, was offered water by a local youth. Unbeknownst to her, the water was laced with an intoxicating substance.

Abduction and assault in a moving van

After consuming the drugged water, the girl began to feel dizzy. Seizing the moment, the perpetrator, along with two accomplices, forced her into a moving van. Here, in a state of semi-consciousness, she was gang-raped by the three assailants as they drove towards a secluded area.

They dumped the girl under flyover

The perpetrators callously dumped the girl under a flyover once they were done. When she regained consciousness, she managed to return home, where she recounted her traumatic experience to her parents, also complaining of severe stomach pain. Promptly, her family admitted her to a private hospital, where medical professionals confirmed the sexual assault.

Police investigation underway

Following the medical confirmation, the girl's father filed a complaint at Chhata police station. The police registered a case under various stringent sections including abduction (BNS 138), gang rape with a minor under 16 years old (376DA), and provisions of the Pocso Act. SP (rural) Trigun Bisen confirmed that the medical examination of the survivor was conducted at a government hospital, and her statement is scheduled to be recorded before a magistrate.

As of Friday, the three accused remain at large, though two have been identified. The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend the culprits. SP Bisen emphasized, "On the basis of the complaint by the girl's father, an FIR was registered. Efforts are on to arrest the three accused."
