National News: In a deeply emotional address at a massive rally in Dahod, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed justice for the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. Speaking with visible anguish, Modi said, “My blood boiled after seeing the pictures of Pahalgam.” His words echoed the grief and anger of a nation shaken by the brutal killings that specifically targeted civilians, including tourists and a local pony handler, based on their religion. The Prime Minister linked the tragedy to India’s swift military response — Operation Sindoor — launched on May 7, just two weeks after the carnage. The operation, he said, was not just a counter-strike but a moral duty carried out on behalf of 140 crore Indians.
Modi described Operation Sindoor as a rapid and precise mission that "turned perpetrators to dust in just 22 minutes." He revealed that Indian forces hit Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan airbase and other terror hubs, eliminating over 100 terrorists and demolishing 11 terror camps. This strike was a direct message to those who threaten Indian lives — a reminder that India will act decisively, without hesitation.“This is the new India,” Modi said, “which hits back on its own terms.” He stressed that the response wasn’t fueled by revenge but by a commitment to justice. India’s actions, he stated, stand as proof that terrorism will be met with unwavering resolve.
In the wake of the operation, Pakistan issued threats, including hints at suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and invoking nuclear rhetoric. However, Modi made it clear that “nuclear blackmail” would not deter India’s pursuit of justice. “We do not fear threats,” he added. “We stand united, strong, and committed.”
The Dahod rally was part of the Sindoor Samman Yatra, celebrating national unity and military valor. A special moment came when the family of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi — a key figure in the operation — honored Modi with flower petals, symbolizing Gujarat’s pride. Leaders from across the globe, including Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and UAE’s Sheikh Mohamed, condemned the Pahalgam attack, further legitimizing India’s position.
Concluding his address, Modi unveiled ₹82,950 crore worth of development projects but emphasized that no growth is meaningful without security. “We owe it to Pahalgam’s victims,” he said, “to pursue justice relentlessly and ensure such horrors never repeat.”
