Cabinet Decisions Set to Transform the Lives of 7 Crore Farmers and Lakhs of Travellers

2. Relief in Kisan Credit Card Scheme

The Modified Interest Subsidy Scheme (MISS) related to agricultural loans has been re-implemented for 2025-26. This means that farmers will now be able to get short-term loans at just 1.5% interest. This decision will give a lifeline to lakhs of small farmers who are burdened with high interest.

3. Andhra Pradesh gets four-lane highway

The cabinet has approved the construction of the 108 km long four-lane Badvel-Nellore highway in Andhra Pradesh. ₹3653.10 crore will be spent on this.This project will not just build a road but will prove to be a new lifeline for industry, agriculture, and tourism.

4. New expansion in railway network

Two multitracking railway projects have been given the green signal-

• Third and fourth lines between Ratlam and Nagda
• Fourth line between Wardha and Ballarshah

These projects will cover four districts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and will upgrade a total of 176 km of rail network.

5. New definition of development

It is not just announcements; it is a guarantee of ground action Through these five decisions, the government has made it clear that its priority is not just “structure” but “sensitivity.” Making the farmer self-reliant, giving fast and safe travel to the common man, and connecting the states with road and rail connectivity—this is a sign of multi-engine development, not a double engine.
