Rajasthan: As the investigation in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case is progressing, shocking revelations are coming to light. Now the investigating agencies have come to know that two brothers, residents of Jamvaramgarh, Rajasthan had purchased the paper about a week before the examination. It is alleged that both the brothers obtained the NEET paper from a doctor in Gurugram on April 26 and then passed it on to many people.

How did the whole game start?

According to investigation, two brothers named Mangilal and Dinesh Biwal first bought this paper. After this, one of the brothers gave this paper to his son, who was preparing for the medical entrance exam in Sikar. After a few days this paper started being sold to different people.

Sikar of Rajasthan has emerged as a major center of this entire paper leak issue. Police suspect that it was from here that the paper was distributed to the students on a large scale.

How did the paper reach MBBS students and hostels?

Investigation revealed that the paper was also sold to Rakesh Kumar Mandavariya, an MBBS counselling agent from Sikar. Later he sold this paper to one of his friends for Rs 30 thousand. That student was studying MBBS in Kerala.

It is alleged that a day before the examination, the student sent the paper to his father, who runs a PG hostel in Sikar. The message read, "Papa, my friend has sent this. Give this to the girls in the hostel, this will come in tomorrow's exam." After this the paper was delivered to the girl students living in the hostel.

Why is Gurugram's doctor an important link?

According to the investigating agencies, a doctor from Gurugram has emerged as an important link in this entire network. Initial investigation also revealed that the paper leak could have originated from the printing press located in Nashik, Maharashtra. From there, through a “chain network” the paper reached Gurugram and was then spread in Rajasthan.

However, IMA Gurugram President Dr. Rajesh Kataria says that till now no investigating agency has contacted the medical institution.

Paper reached 700 students?

According to sources, Rakesh Mandavariya delivered this paper to about 700 students. Its PDF quickly went viral through WhatsApp and Telegram groups. Its print copy was also sold at some places.

An accused named Yash Yadav has also been arrested from Haryana in this case. A person has also been detained in Nashik, Maharashtra.

What will happen next now?

The NEET-UG 2026 exam held on May 3 has been cancelled by the government following allegations of paper leak. CBI has registered an FIR in this case and investigation teams have been sent to many states.

NTA has said that the new exam date will be announced in the next 7 to 10 days. There is a lot of resentment among the students across the country and many students are raising questions on the functioning of NTA.
