Gujarat Fire: After the devastating fire that engulfed a gaming zone in Gujarat's Rajkot, three individuals, including Nitin Jain, the manager, and Yuvraj Singh Solanki, the owner of TRP Game Zone, have been arrested. The tragic incident resulted in the loss of over 24 lives, including nine children, as flames tore through the game zone on a fateful Saturday evening.

Senior IPS officer Subhash Trivedi is leading the investigation through a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising five officers. The blaze originated in a temporary structure within the TRP game zone. Immediate response from four fire brigade vehicles helped control the fire and initiate rescue operations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern over the tragic event, assuring the public of active engagement by local authorities in providing assistance to those affected. He extended sympathies to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the injured, emphasizing the government's commitment to extend all possible support.

State measures

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel immediately responded to the incident, instructing authorities to prioritize the treatment of the injured. He announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured. Moreover, Patel announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
