PM Modi may not Speak in Lok Sabha on Motion of Thanks to President, likely to address Rajya Sabha (x)
New Delhi: After the chaos in House on Wednesday, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address could not take place and according to sources, the Lok Sabha may pass the Motion of Thanks on the President's address without PM Modi's reply.
According to sources, Prime Minister Modi will reply to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday at 5 pm, where the discussion has concluded without disruption.
Even if the Lok Sabha debate does not resume normally, the government is still planning to get the Motion of Thanks passed in both Houses on the same day.
The BJP alleges that opposition women MPs surrounded PM Modi's chair, preventing him from reaching it and forcing the postponement of his speech.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari claimed that opposition women MPs surrounded PM Modi's chair and even went beyond it.
The BJP leader said they were very angry and had come with the intention of attacking him.
"After what happened in the House today, the country will condemn the Congress. PM Modi was scheduled to speak. At exactly 5 PM, they used women to surround PM Modi's chair. They even went beyond that. What could be the purpose of using women to surround PM Modi's chair? Are you so frustrated by your defeat that you want to attack the Prime Minister? They came with the intention of attacking him in anger. We were all sitting in the House, astonished at what was happening. It was all pre-planned," Manoj Tiwari said.
Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that PM Modi did not come to Parliament today because he is afraid and does not want to face the truth.
After the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day, he posted on X, "As I said, Prime Minister Modi will not come to Parliament because he is scared and does not want to face the truth."
