Rajasthan: In another tragic accident in Rajasthan's Todi village, a bus carrying labourers, was electrocuted, after it came in contact with a high-tension electricity line. After the unfortunate incident, two labourers died, meanwhile several others sustained burn injuries, as per reports.

What caused the Rajasthan bus fire incident? 

The incident occured on Tuesday near Jaipur’s Manoharpur Police Station. After the unfortunate bus fire incident, the rescue operation started. The rescue team immediately took the injured to the Shahpura Sub-District Hospital for treatment. The incident took place when a bus carrying labourers from Uttar Pradesh to Todi near Manoharpur in Rajasthan, caught fire after a overhead wire came into contact with its roof, resulting into a strong electric current through the vehicle.

As per the report of ANI, ''A bus full of labourers caught fire after it touched a high-tension wire in Todi village, Manoharpur police station area. The injured were taken to Shahpura Sub-District Hospital.'' 

What are the updates about Rajsthan bus rescue operation?

Soon after the unfortunate incident, police and officials reached the spot and rescue operations were started. A team of firefighters managed to control the blaze. Injured were admitted to the hospital while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examination.

How it reminded of the Jaisalmer bus fire?

The Rajasthan bus fire reminded of the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur highway that took place a week ago. After the unfortunate incident, as many as 22 people died on October 14. As part of the further investigation, the Rajasthan Police detained two people and also started an investigation to check the possible lapses in bus manufacturing and safety standards.

After the DNA tests, the identities of 18 victims were confirmed, while one body remained unidentified. As many as 13 people were injured, while three were reported to be in a critical condition. After the investigation process, Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare in his statement said that the bus owner Turab Ali and driver Shaukat Khan were taken into custody for questioning.
