ACCIDENT
National News: A horrific road accident took place on Tuesday morning on MI Road in Jaipur, Rajasthan, which created a sensation in the political and administrative circles of Rajasthan. Two jawans deployed for the security of Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, who were going to perform duty during the Deputy CM's Bharatpur tour, suddenly became victims of an accident. The accident was so dangerous that one of these jawans died, while the other is seriously injured.
The accident happened at around 8 am near the Government Hostel crossing, when both the jawans Ramavatar and Manoj Meena were leaving for duty on a bike. According to the people present on the spot, a speeding vehicle hit them on the road and threw them in the air, due to which they fell on the road with a thud. During this, the policemen who reached the spot, with the help of the people, immediately took them to Jaipur's SMS Trauma Center.
According to trauma center in-charge and senior orthopedic specialist Dr. Anurag Dhakad, when Ramavatar was brought in, his condition was very critical. Investigation revealed that due to the collision, the main artery of his heart was damaged, due to which blood circulation in the body stopped. Despite all efforts, the doctors could not save Ramavatar. The condition of the other soldier, Manoj Meena, is still stable, and his treatment is going on.
As soon as the news of the incident was received, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa postponed his scheduled program and immediately reached SMS Hospital. He inquired about the condition of the injured soldiers and instructed the doctors not to show any negligence.
Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa had a program to attend the convocation of Maharaja Surajmal Brij University in Bharatpur on Tuesday. Both the soldiers had left on a bike in the morning to perform the same duty. But this accident took away the life of the brave soldier going on duty.
After this incident, a wave of mourning spread in the political corridors. Many ministers and senior officials have expressed grief over the martyrdom of the soldier. Tributes to Ramavatar have started pouring in on social media as well.
This incident has once again brought to the fore the negligence of the system. Should there not be any special security or travel facility for the soldiers deployed on VIP duty? When the soldiers engaged in the security of the highest officials of the state are also unsafe, then how can one imagine the safety of the general public?
