Gangster Salman Tyagi: Delhi's notorious gangster Salman Tyagi has died under suspicious circumstances in Mandoli jail. His body was found hanging from a sheet noose in his cell in jail number 15. Salman, a big name in the world of crime in West Delhi, had worked for gangsters like Neeraj Bawana and Lawrence Bishnoi. He was facing serious cases like murder, robbery, and ransom, as well as a case of MCOCA. The police have sent the body for postmortem and have started investigating whether this is a case of suicide or murder. This incident has raised new questions on Delhi's jail security system and stories of gang war.
Salman Tyagi was considered a big gangster of West Delhi. He started his criminal career with the Neeraj Bawana gang and later came close to Lawrence Bishnoi. According to police records, several cases of murder, robbery, and extortion were registered against Salman. He was also imprisoned under MCOCA.
Last year, while in jail, Salman Tyagi tried to extort a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from two businessmen of West Delhi. For this, he hatched a conspiracy to shoot both of them. His motive behind this incident was to secure his place in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After this incident, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested two shooters, Dipanshu and Moinuddin.
Investigation revealed that Salman had instructed them that after the shootout, he would get the support of Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi, and he would get entry into the gang.
After being a part of the Neeraj Bawana gang, Salman realized that Lawrence Bishnoi's influence was increasing rapidly. That is why he decided to change the gang and planned to carry out many crimes along with Kala Jatheri.
