Lucknow/Sultanpur: On the fourth day of the Aam Aadmi Party’s “Give Jobs–Give Social Justice” march against unemployment and injustice in Uttar Pradesh, thousands of people walked from Koorebhar to Katka. Crowds at every turn and every village showed that the people of the state now want change.

In Koorebhar, young people met MP Sanjay Singh and requested him to raise the issue of employment in Parliament. At Patna Chauraha and near the Purvanchal Expressway, ASHA workers welcomed Sanjay Singh warmly.

The march was also greeted with great enthusiasm in Koorebhar Bazaar, Guftar Ganj, Babuganj, and Katra Bazaar. This 200-km march from Ayodhya to Prayagraj reached Koorebhar for night rest on Friday, and the emotional connection of the people was clearly visible. Even in the cold night, people welcomed the march warmly, showing their trust and hope in the Aam Aadmi Party.

Why did Sanjay Singh become emotional in Sultanpur?

Reaching Sultanpur, MP Sanjay Singh became emotional and said that Sultanpur is his home district. The struggles here are not just numbers for him but personal pain. He said that the basic facilities in the district have become worse in the last eight years.

According to him, the roads of Sultanpur do not look like those of a district but like a sign of neglect. The roads are so broken that even a full year is not enough to count the potholes. People travel daily with fear of accidents. He said nothing can be worse for a district. Electricity cuts are also a big crisis. In 24 hours, the district barely gets 10 hours of power. Because of this, children cannot study and shopkeepers cannot work properly. Long power cuts have disturbed the daily life of common people.

What problems did ASHA workers share during the march?

During the march, Sanjay Singh heard the problems of ASHA workers and promised to raise their voice from the streets to Parliament. He said ASHA workers save the lives of women during the most dangerous times, yet their payment is extremely low. Calling it injustice, he promised that whenever he gets a chance to speak in Parliament, he will strongly raise their issues. Many people including Vanshraj Dubey, Suresh Chandra, Rakesh Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Raunak Singh, Devansh Singh, Brijesh Singh, and Ramshankar Gautam welcomed the march at different places in Sultanpur.

How poor is the health system in Sultanpur?

Talking about the broken health system, Sanjay Singh said that from the district hospital to CHCs, there are no medicines, no tests, and no doctors. People are fighting more with the system than the disease. He reminded everyone of the incident where the government medical college issued an “X-ray report on paper” without doing the actual test, which shows the reality of the health system across Uttar Pradesh.

Why has paper leak become the identity of the state?

Speaking on youth unemployment, Sanjay Singh said that not a single teacher recruitment took place in UP in the last eight years. Whether it was UPTET, police recruitment, or RO/ARO exams—every exam got cancelled because of paper leaks.

Corruption and leaking of papers forced the commission to cancel the tests repeatedly. Youth were betrayed again and again. Paper leak has now become the identity of UP. He said the recruitment system has completely collapsed.

Without strict action, a transparent process, and accountability, the future of the youth cannot be safe. MP Sanjay Singh said this is why thousands of people joined the march in Sultanpur against unemployment, rising prices, and broken basic services. He said, “The struggle of Sultanpur is my personal struggle, and this movement for people’s rights will continue.”
